Hard Ones

How many people do you really have conversations with...how many people do you really talk to...honestly and openly....

There was this young lady I met...and she told me about a very hard convo she recently had to have...

Her significant other....they had been at it for many years...had watch each other grow up....had watched each other through the good and the bad...they truly loved each other but there had been some problems....not unlike anyone else but they were having trouble moving forward in some areas of life...for her it was her trust and faith....she tried not to bring her past into the future but he was the past and the future...he had been one of the main ones that had made her question so much...made her question herself...made her question him....His was lack of action...last of assertiveness....lack of will power to get things done regardless of what others are doing....

These things meant that they NEEDED to have a convo...they needed to make sure that both knew and understood what needed to be worked on....if they loved each other as much as they both claimed then they owed each other. She thought it would go smooth...that he would hear her...would listen to her concerns and value her opinion....but she was mistaken....they had it out all day long...they went back and forth....words said that were meant to hurt...not to heal or help grow...words that could not be taken back...

Are you willing to have those hard conversations...those convos that you know may change your world...your universe...I personally have some trouble with convos like that...at times I find it easier to live by the "something's better left unsaid" motto....there are things that can be left where they are....things that should be left where they are....

This young lady and her significant other, like everyone else is the world still have some issues with their communication....all they both really want is unconditional support and love from one another...all they want is to have everything they have ever wanted....including each other but it will take work...it will take compassion..trust..faith and love and that's really all it takes for all of us...

In order to hear each other we must see ourselves in that person...put ourselves in their shoes so to speak...remember that we are all each other....one in the same....maybe if we remember that....maybe our convo's will helps us move mountain together cause really that's the only way to move anything....
